What to Expect at Project FAIHR: Youth initiative

Working with us is about support, not pressure. No surprises.

What We Do
  • Meet you where you’re at (in the community, by phone, or text).
  • Listen first – you don’t have to share everything at once.
  • Help you understand school, court, housing, and other systems.
  • Walk with you while you figure out next steps.
What We Don't Do
  • We are not probation or law enforcement.
  • We don’t force you into services.
  • We don’t judge you for setbacks.
  • We don’t disappear without explaining what’s next.
The “Starter Kit”

When you show up, we’ve got your back with a real starter kit. No strings attached.

Basic Essentials:

  • Hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, wipes)
  • Reusable water bottle & healthy snack
  • Phone charger & notebook/pen

Connection & Access:

  • Transit pass or gas card (as available)
  • Local youth-friendly resources list

Optional if you need it:

  • Weather-appropriate items (hat, gloves, socks)
  • Art or creative supplies
  • School or job readiness materials
Your Choice Matters
You decide how involved you want to be. Some people meet weekly, some check in once in a while, and some just need help with one thing.
Privacy & Safety

Most of what you share stays private. There are a few things we must report for safety reasons (like if someone is in immediate danger). If that ever comes up, we will tell you first.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. We’ll take things one step at a time.
