Supportive Housing
A Place to Call Home: Providing Safe and Supportive Housing Solutions
Supportive housing at Steppingstone provides homeless individuals and families with a combination of housing and services which help them live more stable and productive lives. Steppingstone Incorporated launched its first supportive housing program in 1996 and found this model to be a pragmatic and effective solution to homelessness. Since that time, we have expanded to offer approximately 100 units of permanent supportive housing as well as 19 units of transitional supportive housing in Fall River and New Bedford, Massachusetts.
Consumers residing in our housing programs have complex needs. Most struggle with chronic substance use and/or mental health disorders, other chronic health conditions and socio-economic challenges. To address these needs, consumers are provided with comprehensive case management in addition to the wide array of services and treatments offered within Steppingstone’s continuum-of-care and by other providers in the community.
