Safe Space to Create.

Not into talking? We get it.

Sometimes words don’t work. That’s where art comes in.

At Project FAIHR: Youth initiative, we offer a creative, judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are—no pressure to explain, no need to have the “right” answer. Just you, some art supplies, and people who aren’t going to push.

Because healing doesn’t always need words.

What is our Safe Space to Create?

It’s a youth mentor group that uses art therapy to help you express yourself when talking feels too hard.

Through drawing, painting, sculpting, journaling, and collaborative projects, you can:

  • Explore your feelings without having to name them out loud
  • Process experiences at your own pace
  • Build emotional awareness in a supportive environment
  • Try something new—no skill or experience needed
Why art + mentorship?

When you create alongside a mentor who actually listens, something shifts.

Art helps build trust without forcing conversation. Mentors get to understand what you’re going through by meeting you where you are—not where they think you should be.

That connection leads to:

  • Stronger coping skills
  • Real resilience
  • Problem-solving that
  • makes sense for your life
This is especially for you if you've been through:
  • Trauma or hard life circumstances
  • Behavioral challenges
  • Feeling like no one gets it
  • Just… a lot.

There’s no pressure to speak about painful experiences directly. Let the art do the talking. Or don’t. You’re still welcome here.

What happens in a session?

Show up. Make something. Breathe.

Some days you’ll work solo. Other days we do group projects. You might discover something new about yourself. Or you might just paint a messy picture and feel a little lighter.

Either way, you’ll leave feeling:

Ready to create?
No experience needed. No pressure. Just a safe space and people who’ve got your back.
