Residential Rehabilitation
Transforming Lives: Comprehensive Residential Rehabilitation Services
Steppingstone Incorporated began operations of its first Residential Rehabilitation Service program in 1972 and over the years has expanded to operate an additional three programs. These programs, operating in Fall River and New Bedford Massachusetts, offer a combined total of eighty-eight treatment beds.
Consumers may participate in the programs from three months to one year, dependent upon need. Steppingstone’s RRS Programs are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and provide an array of goal-oriented rehabilitative services that accommodate the spectrum of needs presented by consumers. Individual, group and family counseling is offered within the sober housing environment to empower consumers to make informed choices and to maintain a structured milieu that reinforces appropriate behavior.
While in treatment, consumers are provided with ongoing, individualized support and are assisted with developing daily living and interpersonal skills to improve their ability to maintain a drug and alcohol-free life. Participation in self-help and peer support groups is also encouraged. Each consumer, through participation in individualized counseling and case management, develops a consumer-driven, Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) and is assisted with connecting to all needed external resources including medical, vocational, educational, housing, legal and other resources.
