Peer Recovery Support
Strength in Numbers: Accessible Peer Recovery Support Services
Steppingstone’s Peer 2 Peer (P2P) Center offers a safe and confidential place for consumers to learn from peers with lived experience, share their challenges and become empowered. P2P addresses the challenges consumers in recovery face by providing effective peer recovery support services that emphasize social support, value-shared experiences and successes as a determinate in helping peers develop and maintain significant lifestyle changes. P2P’s Center offers a variety of daily peer led groups and individualized peer support.
Extending the reach of peer services into the community, Steppingstone expanded to add Recovery Coaching in 2016. Recovery Coaching is a form of peer support that is non-clinical and encourages long-term recovery from substance use disorders. Our certified recovery coaches bring their valuable lived experience of recovery, combined with training and supervision, to assist others in initiating and maintaining recovery. Recovery coaching support is often combined with clinical treatment or as an alternative for those not ready to engage in formal treatment.
Recovery plans and other supports are customized and build on each individual’s strengths, needs, and recovery goals.
